: I recently purchased a restored two compartment Tokheim lube-oil bulk tank, w/two Tokheim lube oil pumps. The serial numbers on the pumps are 100384 and 100385. This set-up was purportedly made to order for the old Gulf Refining Co. The pumps have forged letters on the base, "G R Co", which lends some credence to the claim. The pumps also have clear glass globes on them through which the operator/customer could view the oil being pumped from the pumps as it was being dispensed.
: My question: Is there anyone or any place I may contact to find out date of manufacture of the pumps based on the serial numbers and also perhaps to validate the Gulf Refining Co. story?
