: I am restoring a 1950-55 gas pump. I need to know the color Phillips 66 used for their pumps. It will be an Ethel type. I would appreicate it if I could get the exact color name or number. Thank you, Dean

Hi Dean,

Phillips 66 Premium in the early 50s used solid orange pumps with a black base. The book Gas Pump Collectors Guide lists the PPG paint codes for 58 oil company colors, including Phillips 66. It has a chapter on the color schemes used for regular, premium or diesel by many oil companies.
The book may be in some libraries or ordered from any decent bookstore. It is also available on this Web site.
