The only AO Smith pumps I've had were a 6ft version and a 5 ft version of basically the same pump. Both had a "buckle style" door latch across the front and grooved side panels. The short one had a sight glass through the buckle and the tall one had the sight glass in the top of the face. They were post war electrics made by Smith who bought Erie. Later the pump division was sold to Wayne. AO Smith is still in business, but does not make pumps. I have found absolutely NOTHING reproduced for these pumps. Hope yours is fairly complete. A lot of these pumps show up on the Left coast. Good Luck!
