: This past weekend I acquired a Texaco Salt Sign that is wooden and says it is "good with any food."  It is very detailed and pictures a chef with a spoon of soup.  It sort of looks like a Texaco sign with the Texaco words in red and white consistant with Texaco colors. It would be hard to imagine some other company trying to use the Texaco name to sell salt. It is obviously an old sign.  The man I bought it from seems to remember that Texaco operated some salt mines in Utah.  I plan to keep the sign since the graphics are pretty cool but I wondered if anyone knew about Texaco selling salt.  Thanks for any info.
