Tim, - Horse feathers. What breaks glass is not the release of pressure but the application of same at a localized point. Usually in the form of a B-B or rock. Other types of pressure such as that generated by heat or cold is OK as long as you reinstall the glass properly. This can be done with the same type of compound as used originally. If you do not want to take this route just use a cork gasket. This allows a considerable amount of movement. Just keep in mind that you do not want to screw down the nuts on one side of the cylinder more than another. And keep up the good work. Steve
