The strips are stainless and do polish up nicely.
Last year at the Ellicott City show in maryland
I was able to pick up 2pc for $5 each in pretty
good shape but not excel. This is a pretty common
pump so i feel you should not have a hard time
locating them. I found the problem to be the steel
strip that hold them in place to be the hard part
to find be cause they are usuallly rusted really
bad. Good luck
