GREETINGS!I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A MANS ROOM WITH SIGNS, GLOBES AND PUMPS AS THE MAIN ROOM THEME. I KNOW ALOT OF YOU HAVE ALREADY ATTEMPTED THIS TASK SO I WOULD LIKE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON LIGHTING, BACKGROUNDS, COLORS, DRYWALL OR PANELING? ANYTHING PRETTY MUCH THAT WORKED OUT TO YOUR LIKING. I AM WORKING WITH A BASEMENT ABOUT 20 FEET BY 20 FEET SQUARE. I WOULD ALSO APPRECIATE ANY PICTURES YOU COULD POST OR EMAIL ME. THANKS IN ADVANCE TODD

Here is what a buddy did. Put up wainscotting or a moulding about 4 or 5 ft from the ground. Dark color on the bottom, moulding another, top wall a lighter color.

You can use your favorite petro company colors ie early Chevron.. Oxblood, Green and Cream.

Then run a shelf or several rows along one wall or all the way around with breaks for tall stuff like a pump.

Dont forget the beer-filled pop cooler and the pool table..

When can we come over???

Be sure to have power to the globes and pumps for lighting. With all the globes on a cuircut, possibly with a dimmer, you can set the brightness. Man I think that would be 2 cool, watchin' the races with a cold one in the light of a hundred globes!!!!

If I remember correctly, it was Curt at The Poor Mans Museum, that wallpapered one of his walls with old road maps... Check this out...

When I built my den, I thought paneling on plywood would look nice & hold a FEW signs. BUT, it was quickly covered with signs & STUFF. Had to STACK the 36B tops ! LOL.
