I have a Mobil Gargoyle sign that I would like some info on. It is about 20x14 approx with the word Gargoyle over the red image with Mobiloils in larger letters under it. On the bottom it says "A grade for each type of motor" The sign is porcelain and in fair shape. I have a pic but dont know how to post it. Any info on era , value, etc would be greatly appreciated. Welcomeeee Glennnnn!
I'm no expert but one of the books I have purchased through this site describes a flange sign with this wording as 15.5"x24", used from 1925 to 1930, 4 out of 5 for rarity (5 being highest) and worth in the range of $450. Book prices are soon out of date and condition is everything...I'd say that might be a tad high in this case in my opinion.
