IN MY TRAVELS TODAY I WENT PAST AN OLD GAS STATION I HAD PAST A 100 TIMES.I SAW THE PUMPS WERE GONE.NO LOSS THEY WERE 70S MODELS.BUT THE SIGN OUTSIDE WAS STILL THERE A CENEX NOTHING SPECIAL BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD ASK TO SATISFY MY CURIOSITY.THE GUY SAID WHAT WILL YOU GIVE FOR IT I REPLIED ANYTHING ELSE LYING AROUND.HE WAS MORE THAN WILLING TO LOOK.HE FOUND 3 ADDITIONAL LIGHT POLES ONE PARTICULAR IS THE REVERE ELECTRIC MADE IN CHICAGO THE BONNET IS MISSING.HE SAID LET ME LOOK IN THE SHED AND FOUMD THE OLD DRAIN CAN I THOUGHT WAS INTERESTING.AND A KEROSENE TANK/LUBESTER.HE SAID WHATS IT ALL WORTH TO YOU.I THOUGHT $100.00 WAS A GOOD PLACE TO START!!!HE HAD THREE OF HIS FRIENDS UNBOLTING THE LARGE SIGN AND EVERYTHING ON MY TRAILER IN 1/2 HOUR.ANYWAYS I AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON THE REVERE LIGHT POLE YEAR,CORRECT BONNET,VALUE ETC.IF SOME COULD POST A PIC I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.HAVE NOT FIGURED IT OUT YET.

The fluted pole was used by many stations. I know of a old Shell station that still has these poles in front of it. They have red shades on them & look just like yours. I am just guessing that they where used in the 20s or 30s.

Those fluted poles are Great! Bought two from Cheese. Waiting to get two new 'Revere' Tags from Ron Scobie when he gets them made. The fluted are alot nicer than the smooth. Here is a pic of the poles from CHEESE (bigcheesepetro.com) and the correct type harps and bonnetts
