Welcome Greg to Old Gas. Post the item # of the auction. Someone here will be able to help. Sight unseen I know 67 bucks doesn't buy original anything in signs, generally. Welcome again. Larry from Edgewater, Colorado

If auction is not over yet retract youre bid. If it is over and youre sure it a repo dont pay I would take a negitve feed back before paying out to someone that is lying. You can tell if you take the time to read peoples feedback weather or not they are a dead beat bidder or were taken advantage of. I am also assuming this was an Ebay auction, if not then if you want to continue bidding with this auction company then take youre lumps and pay the $67.00. these are just my oppinions. Rember if it seems to good to be true it probally is. I dont have much experince in the sign department but with a little reserch you can and will with time find out who the heavy hitters are so watch and see if they are bidding if not its more than likley not a real piece. I look at it like if I found it on ebay then most everone else with the same interst have too. Wording is real tricky these days you really have to be up on youre stuff to buy with just pics. Where is Dacono Co? Glad to see another Co guy, and good luck with youre problem.

With the auction now ended, you have no choice but to complete the deal or you're the bad guy.

I've seen tons of this sign repro in 12 inch. But I don't know about this one. Buick did have some odd sized signs that were part of a much bigger sign. Like a ten foot vertical sign with B U I C K spelled out and a round sign at the bottom.

This sign is dirt cheap if real and expensive if repro. Sometimes you take your chances. On a seller with a 7 feedback, it's risky.

IF in doubt about the sign, OFFER to pay the ebay fees [listing & selling] so seller will not leave negitive feedback.

It's your money, your decision.

Greg:

Welcome to the madness . . .

On the sign. Repros are around $18.00 (Vic's 66) and measure out at 11 3/4 inches. If this is truly a 14" sign, it's probably 'real' - otherwise, it's a reproduction.

These have been authorized by GM in the 11 3/4" versions for decades - so his claim of having it for 25 years doesn't really amount to anything.

Good luck.

Later . . .

Jim
