...interested in buying a restored pump? I know this could theoretically be moved to For Sale or Trade, but I wanted everyone to see it. As it happens quite often here, I got a call from a newly widowed lady in the Sacramento area. He (the husband) had bought parts here and restored a pump so she saw our catalog and called us. The upshot of it is, she is ready to sell the pump and wants someone to come pay cash and pick it up. She wants minimal hassle and involvement. Obviously, she wasn't sure of make and model but that she had heard him say it was a 1950's Tokheim and that it is restored in Mobilgas. She claims that it is in "beautiful restored shape", which is subject to interpretation. Anyway, I told her best case scenario, the pump would retail for around $1800-$2000, but that would require marketing, advertising, etc. so she should expect someone like anyone of you or I would be a buyer at around $800-$1200 depending on how nice it was.

SO, if anyone will promise to treat her right and is interested, e-mail me at info@vicsplace.com and I'll pass her phone # along to you. Seth www.vics66.com

Seth-- On another subject...does Vic's 66 carry any vinyl decals for the narrow part of a 30 gallon lubester that says "Polly Oil?" Either that or a metal sign for same that says Polly Oil? I'm tired of water decals that crack.

Tall49guy....if you will call me tomorrow, I will let you try one of the 'new' water decals in Polly Oil for free. I sense you have had a bad experience with the old ones, so I want you to try the new ones. They are getting RAVE reviews from other customers, they are light-years ahead of the old ones.

I think I got the widow lady taken care of. An oldgasser called me within minutes of the first post and last I heard he was on his way to her house. I'm glad to be able to put a seller in need together with a willing buyer! (Imagine that, an evil pump parts vendor helping a little old lady)
