Ok a little free advertising for the Aumann guys as they are a really fantastic crew. I was looking at there upcoming auctions and noticed one on April 22 with some great pumps. What do you guess the final bid will be for this wayne 800: The erie is also nice but looks to have a few problem any thoughts on the price for this one: ------------------ IP: Logged |

How about $13,000. The 800 going higher than the 50. That auction is not very far away, I will be going to that one. I'll take the camera.

Man, That's insane. When I was at the Iola show this year, there was an Erie 50 or 53 that came in on a truck. Some other dude bought it for $150 before it was even off the truck. Then, he had it in his booth for $2000. I thought he was crazy, but maybe it was a steal... Wes IP: Logged |

I think pumps still have to hit their prime, with $20K globes and signs becoming common, I don' think its unreasonable to expect rare pumps to bring over $10K in the near future. You don't realize how rare they are untill you spend months or years looking for a particular one. I would have paid $8K for an Erie 50 this summer, I lucked into one but had to trade a Canadian Ecometer for it (Just as rare), and the trade was the only reason he let go, I could have never bought it for cash. 2000 grand for a 50-53 was a steel in my opinion. I would say a 53 is worth $4500 pretty easy. If 2 big time colectors want that stuff it just might go outa site be intersting to see. Brandon IP: Logged |

You guys are forgetting that this is an AUCTION! Not only that, but an "AUMANN AUCTION". Look at the past results, when a sign that you thought was worth $3,500.00 went for $8k? Both of those pumps are great, and yes, there are reproductions out on both of them. But, an original is gonna be high priced. I'd guess close to $10k for the Wayne 800, and $7,500.00 for the Erie 50. I can guarantee there are guys right now, refinancing their homes with those pumps in mind. Wes, I am not sure which model number it was, but it was not the cash recorder. I heard the same story on that pump as you did, but later when somebody when back to try to get it for $2k the new price I think was $5k...the deals are out there...they just don't last real long...in this case I think it was maybe a minute...lol.
