Hi I was at an antique mall this weekend there was a Quaker state motor oil sign it was about 24"x24"with a round top green.Where these made with porcelain or where they just painted sign? I wanted to buy it but not sure of ther value.I may go back and pick it up depending on your feed back. Any help would be apreciated

Some were tin, some were porcelain. The porcelains were a little more detailed.

Condition being equal, I'd say the porcelain is about a $500 sign and the tin maybe $300. Hope that helps.

Depends on age, the later green (painted)ones are not very high in value in my opinion.

I think mine has a little pic of an oil derrick on it and is fairly old , but I think that the later green ones look pretty close.

Anyone have accurate info to determine age on there??

Be careful before you spend on this one..

these signs turn up on ebay frequently... compare yours to theirs for a ballpark figure...
