Hi I was at an antique mall this weekend there was a Quaker state motor oil sign it was about 24"x24"with a round top green.Where these made with porcelain or where they just painted sign? I wanted to buy it but not sure of ther value.I may go back and pick it up depending on your feed back. Any help would be apreciated John IP: Logged |

Some were tin, some were porcelain. The porcelains were a little more detailed. Condition being equal, I'd say the porcelain is about a $500 sign and the tin maybe $300. Hope that helps. IP: Logged |

Depends on age, the later green (painted)ones are not very high in value in my opinion. I think mine has a little pic of an oil derrick on it and is fairly old , but I think that the later green ones look pretty close. Anyone have accurate info to determine age on there?? Be careful before you spend on this one.. IP: Logged |

these signs turn up on ebay frequently... compare yours to theirs for a ballpark figure... IP: Logged |
