FIRST: I AM NOT WANTING TO SELL THESE YET = I just want an idea if the prices are correct before I post for sale what I do not want on the for sale fourm... I have a farmer that wants to sell me all of his pumps and the ones that I do not want he wants me to sell for him. His prices are FIRM and he has been looking over this board the last few weeks because I told him to come here. He has limited knowledge of the Internet and selling and knows the prices of his pumps because I told him what they are worth and gave him a copy of Jacks book. For those of you in Kansas the states around us, you may have run into his pumps before. This guy is the one that was cutting them down into shorties for the farmers in the midwest. He has pumps out there I have run into and I know most of you have - like the cut down t-36b's and wayne 60's - all cut down to knee size farm pumps. He has the following and I need to know if this is LOW or HIGH.
1 wayne cut 60 = no dents, all metal is there, glass in broken on one side - just surface rust, no nozle, no hose. ==================== 1 wayne cut 60 = no sunburst's, broken glass on both sides, no dents, all metal is there. No nozzle, no hose. Just surface rust. ======================== 1 Tokheim 39 tall = GREAT SHAPE - just needs to be sanded and re-painted if you even want to do that. This is the best looking pump I have ever seen in the field. Looks like it sat in a barn its whole life. MAYBE - he might keep it, I told him I would if I was him. This thing is CHERRY! 2 Tokehim 39 talls = OK shape, needs new faces, and glass. No nozzle, no hose, no DENTS that I can really see - but there is solid surface rust all over and sign holes in the doors. ====================== A t-39 stripped frame and maybe 4 lighting bar parts with the Tok push swithes, some doors for a small t-39, and a side panel for one = probably for the frame that is stripped. He has about 6 computers with bells on them, ok shape. He has no idea what he should ask for these, and was hopeing I could find out for him. ================ He has a TON and I am talking about a TON of brass nozzles, probably 1-2 hundred of them. I have no idea of price on these? Anyone have a clue so I can inform him on this? ============================= He has about 50-75 ?CoWop? word is not spelled right, but sound it out... Signs, these are the pump signs. I am not a sign guy so I have no clue what to tell them they are worth. Some are MINT and some are rusty - but you can still tell what they were. ===========================

Travis....I would take both Wayne 60's in a heart-beat if the shoulders/base/manifold are intact. Get'em bought & bring'em in about two weeks! IP: Logged |

As to be expected - THE GOD of the site HAS SPOKEN his mumbo jumbo. Now the others will follow him like they are soooooooo good at. I am sure if I WAS like them, I would keep Jacks book and knowledge quite then offer him 50 bucks a pump. This guy would have taken that but he was realistic & kind to me. If you do not have anything fruitful to contribute then why are you even wasting our time with this childish junk? And you guys talk to me about growing up... GET OVER IT! Travis E. Im lost again???How does a cut down pump bring what an uncut pump bring?Dc pate had one for 1100 that seemed to be in good shape and not cut down and didnt seem to sell it fast for 1100 and he is in OK??? Seems like alot of extra work to get it back to where it needs to be.If I read this right the price on the 60 seems high,IF I read this right.Travis be Good!Give me a hollar! ------------------ IP: Logged |

Still have the Wayne 60 for $1100. Been sandblasted already and is complete except for a computer, ad glass, and faces (the faces are aluminum and rusted). Great looking pump... IP: Logged |

Maybe I'm missing something, are the Wayne 60's shortened? Is that what Steve is talking about? I read Travis' saying this guy has cut pumps down in the past, is this the case on these for sale pumps? If so, obviously I wouldn't be interested in them for any price....if they are whole, yeah, I'd be in at the $1000. Chad...if you want to bring your 60 on auction weekend, I'd take a look....(though I'm not a huge fan of buying pumps that someone else has started, I've never had good luck in that instance.) Here are some of the pictures from this guys place. I went ahead and poped out 2 grand for the CUT model Wayne 60's today. - Man those tings are HEAVYYYYYYYYYYYYYY... BUT WAY SOOOOO COOL. One thing really neat about these is the SN #'s are 1 off each other. FYI - the gas truck is for sale as with the car.

The sign being held up in the picture appears to be a Co-op field sign for corn or beans. Most of these are painted metal.Are there any that say gasoline or diesel?--Greg Brown IP: Logged |

You know Greg - I am not sure if any of them are for gasoline or diesel or even say that, but it would not supprise me if they did. This guy has MORE then this in 3 other barns full, and just kept pulling things out over and over again. I ran out of disc space on my digital cam so these are the only pics I could take. I have never seen anything like this in my life and never would have thought I would have. Now I know how people felt that found a boat load of pumps hidden at a closed jobber site. - well that is basicly what this guy was - a jobber. He is trying to decide if he really wants to sell the truck, and will be getting me a price - I would love to have it but storing it is a problem. He did fire up the truck and we dusted it off and took it for a drive - it is WAY COOOOOOOOOL. There are lots more signs, and even more nozzles all the way around this barn, and in the 2nd garage in box's and then I found about 300 more brass nozzles in a upside down pig coupe out in the field. He has lots of pump gate valves, NOS hoses both red and black, no cloth found yet - and YES I bought those those right up, well he gave them to me for helping... I got 37 gate valves and about 200 or so NOS hoses, and have no clue what I will do with them yet - probably end up on ebay. This guy was born in 1933, and his wife is even older then he is. He has no "want" for doing anything with these at all. I offered to have 3 trailers brought in and clean everything up for him in exchange for another one of his wayne 60's and the rest of the pumps & parts and things gas related. He has about 14 acers of land and it is filled with gas things and farm things. When he took the pumps apart for cuttin down, he just tossed the light poles and swithes, globe rings, and all the unneeded things in piles. I would have to get a trailer for scrap metal, 1 for gas pump things, and 1 for other antique items to sell. Then I would have to have about 5 burn piles going too. He is thinking very hard about this because his kids do not want to bother helping him. He is kinda looking at it this way, I work hard for 8 weeks everyday 14 hours a day, he gets the place cleaned up, I get paid with all the gas pump things I can find and then sell them here and on ebay. This is the same deal I worked out with the owner of the Red Crown station. ====== gives me something to do besides sleep till noon!
