THERE IS A PICTURE OF AN OLD GASOLINE PUMP IN A CORNFIELD, ON EBAY,#7005309169...IT HAS AN ESSO GLOBE,,I DONT REMEMBER SEEING MANY PUMPS ON FARMS WITH ANY KIND OF GLOBE ON THEM....WHAT IS IT?,LOOKS LIKE SOME KIND OF BLIND PUMP,,,,NICE PUMP!!!! IP: Logged |

WELL JUDGING FROM THE PICTURE, I'D SAY THAT'S A 1920'S PUMP HAVING A 2ND LIFE OUT ON THE FARM IN THE 1950'S WHICH IS WHEN THAT MODEL BETTY PAIGE WAS POPULAR. DOC @ TAG.WEST IP: Logged |

A surprising amount of pumps did make it to farms with globes on them, but things usually happened to them. I've heard of more than a few farm auction visibles still having globes, though. Wes IP: Logged |

Oh, you guys just don't know what it was like back in the 1950s. Betty Paige was it. She probably displayed more female skin than any other woman out there. I have seen this picture on Ebay many times before, and thought about getting one just because Betty was pictured. She had to be one of the greatest pin-ups of the 1950s. Punch her name up in Gooogle and see what you get. Sadly, she gave up posing for pictures around 1960 and disappeared. A reporter finally found her living in a trailer park sone where in California. If anyone whats one, I know where there is a pump just like this for sale in Topeka, Kansas... Call me if you will be stoping by , and I will take you to it. Sorry I do not know his asking price or the condition of the pump.
