I talked to a gas collector here in town that had a visible pump with a repro crown on it and someone in the middle of the day stole the crown. It looks old because he painted it many years ago and it sat out side. It has the faded look but has a 6" base. Try to keep your eyes peeled for it.

I don't like thieves and to stop this type of stuff is to let people know we are one big family of petro collectors.

I agree, I hate a damn thief. We should all watch ebay and local swap meets, etc. You should check with any antique dealers, pawn shops in the area to see if anything like this has came in for sale. I hope you catch this jerk.

I hate a thief also. I think Phil was right on. Pass the word & check out the malls,swap meets & pawn shops. In my book a thief should have a hand cut off if they are caught or guilty of it. Hope you find this guy John Good Luck !!!!!!!!!

Can you believe someone stole a globe in the middle of the day!!! It was on a visible at that so they need a stool or something to stand on. His neighbors said they saw a black car but didn't pay much attention after that. Some of the older collectors know J.R. as he delt with pumps years ago. Great guy... hope he finds who took it.
