I am getting ready to paint my Tokheim 39 tall gas pump and have decided to make it Mobilgas. My plan is to shoot it with a single stage paint. Would anyone out there know off hand what the paint codes are that would work? I plan on making the doors red and the sides white. Also would anyone have a picture of a similar pump painted in that scheme, or anyother mobilgas scheme ? Thanks

As far as the correct colors for Mobil red, I painted a pump in Mobilgas (sorry I don't have any pics), but the color you want to go with is 1962 Chevrolet Roman Red. It seemed to be a dead match for Mobil red. As far as the white goes, I match the white to a repro pump plate or go with a bright white and you should be fine.

Hope that helps.

If you have the door sign or decal, have the paint match that. My painter did that and it is absolutely a great match with the flying red horse. Have a blast doing your pump.

A Mobilgas or Mobilfuel Diesel pump should be all red including the base, and a Mobilgas special pump should be all red with white doors and red base.
