The "Keep stuffing..." tag refers to the packing nut around the pump shaft. If you didn't tighten it every so often gas would leak out. Plumbers rope was used just as it was in faucets etc... You were correct on the other tags used on the G & B pumps. Ron IP: Logged |

My Boyle Dayton has a big spring behind the packing nut. As the nut is tightend the spring tenshion keeps it from leaking. operates kind of like a valve seat. This is only my way of thinking. Am I right? leswarner IP: Logged |
