Sorry I'm a little late posting this, I've had two illnesses pop up in my family within the past week and I've been burning the candle at both ends. S.F.Bowser and Company is credited with making the first gas pump in the late 1800's. Bowser has made a broad line of pumps throughout their history from garage pumps to previsibles, visisbles to clocks and then some fairly nifty looking computer pumps. Let's focus on the Bowser visibles for this month's thread. Bowser made over a dozen different models of visibles, I figure there should should be some of these out there in Oldgas Land to be shared with us. Let me also mention that Bowser went out of business in 1960 and was sold to the Keene Pump Company. The Bowser brand disappeared in the late 60's, kinda sad isn't it?!? Feel free to e-mail me any pictures or brouchures, I'll gladly post them! Last but not least, A MERRY CHRISTMAS and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR TO ALL! Neal IP: Logged |
