POSTING THESE PICS AND DETAILS FOR "DONDOGARAGE"......

Hello everyone! Three weeks ago I posted a pic of a Wayne 70 I got to fix up for my son as a Christmas present. Just finished it and thought I would show you. Also guys ask what it costs to restore a pump. I sandblasted it myself which would cost maybe a 100.  Epoxy primer, high build primer 1 pint of cream 1 pint of red. $300 for paint. $300 for replacement parts. And $300 for purchase price. Now you have a $1,000 pump!

CHECK OUT THESE BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS....

Looks great and man what a Christmas present!!! I wish i was getting that for my Christmas present. LOL

Makes you wonder why Texaco didn't use them colors instead of silver on there pumps?
Maybe since texaco was all red and skychief was silver they didn't want people to get them mixed up?

Anyway... looks great and i like the colors!
I know your son will have a good christmas!

Hey I thought no one could restore a pump for under 1000.This guy can buy one and restore one for that! Awsome job and this just shows everyone you dont have to take out a home loan to restore one of these beauties, especially if you do it yourself!Awsome job!sslick68

What kind of paint did you use? I just did a small Gasboy in PPG Basecoat/clearcoat and it cost almost $175 in primer/reducer/basecoat/basecoat reducer/clearcoat/clearcoat activator. Maybe I paid way to much to get a slick looking paint job, if I can get the same look from an enamel. Thanks

GR8 JOB!!! Love those before and after pics. They really inspire all of us to restore that pump we've been puting off. Love those colors rather than the siver and that ad glass looks like it's something WAYNE forgot to do.
A CHRISTMAS your son will never forget.
