Here is a giant visible pump carved from redwood. It stands in front of a tavern in Morro Bay, CA, called the Fuel Dock. The tavern is only a few yards from the Ocean View Garage, which contains many restored gas pumps and a substantial collection of neon and porcelain signs that accompany the owner's restored cars and street rods. Went road hunting today.
Hawkeye Dart, found another one Jack, this one not cut down and not for sale.

He had these light poles from a station that closed.

This sign still being used by the dealership.

Pump all by it's self, think it's a American tall 10, maybe not.

Notice the rough Johnson sign in the window of the station as well as a near mint Elreco which the photo didn't turn out.

Went antiqueing the other day, and I took along the camera. I knew would be going by a couple of these cool old stations and thought maybe some of you would enjoy.

This first one is in East Bloomfield NY. Used to be called Toomey's Gas Station. Looks like it had four pumps. Nothing in it now, but it has a new roof.

This one is in Geneva NY. It's now a Greyhound Bus Station. Really beautiful old building. I beleive it was a Texaco.

This one is about 15 miles up the road from me. My dad says it was a Sunoco. The old sign pole is still there. Really neat old building. It has been repainted & reroofed to match the house.

And this one is about a 1/2 mile from me. It's old. Was a Esso station and diner long ago. You can still see where signs hung. The two over the door were Double Dot Pepsi's. We rescued one and redid it. All rusted over. A friend of mine got all the old signs and such from inside. The property is now abandoned. Still some junk inside. I have an old matchbook from when it was in business.

This is a gas station that is only about two years old. The front is 2004 and the side that faces the street looks like this.
