You said it Dwaine.
I'll be making my donation to Jim in person at Chips---and I'm long overdue.

Jim never asks for money, and this site ain't free(for him), but we all use it and enjoy it, so if you can spare a few bucks, and ya feel like you're getting something out of Olgas.com, by all means chip in

THANK YOU Jim Potts!

Is that it? $125.00 boy you guys really love this site. buy some T-shirts, a hat, it all cost money to build these forums for you to look at. Have you ever seen the Album forum? http://www.oldgas.com/oilcans/ it takes money to keep this out there so you can look and see whats there. most of it posted by troach, quartcans, and the Hub, the boxer can't read yet. We that collect thank you guys. We thank Jim for building the forum for it. now lets see the posts on Donations for oldgas.com HTH.

Thanks very much to all who have donated recently or in the past. In recent weeks Oldgas.com supporters have sent donations via Paypal, US mail and in person. Over $400 has been received recently in addition to the amounts discussed in this topic.

I had face-to-face contact with Oldgas.com users at Dixie Gas. That was worth more than money to me, knowing that they really use and appreciate what this site offers. Several guys admitted that they have visited the site regularly for years but have not yet registered on Shop Talk or the Collectors Roster. I can whole-heartedly say that there is room here for all users, registered or not, donors or not. While the generosity of so many is deeply appreciated, I don't want to put pressure on everyone else. This will remain a site where nearly all of our services are free, supported mostly by advertisers and reinforced by occasional donations.

Some of you may know that I am involved in a strike at my employer. I don't want any of you to think that my personal finances are in trouble. My finances and those of Oldgas.com are completely separate. Both are solid with enough income and reserve to continue normally into the forseeable future. In fact, the strike is not about salary, but is really about job security for lower seniority skilled workers.
