Picked up a clock face pump, has original visigauge glass. However some genius sandblasted entire pump at one time and the glass got it too. Is there anything that could be done to clean and polish it or is it finished?

It's toast.
Check with 'Swabby' on here, he has probably got a replacement cylinder that will work for your project.
