The factory cut doors have a recessed area for the rubber to sit in. That would be about impossible to duplicate. If you just cut out the opening, I bet hardly anybody would notice. The rubber would just stick out a little more than usual.
FREEDOM oil items wanted.

What happens in 20+ years & the new owner thinks he has bought a RARE pump that isn't in the next pump book. LOL It's your pump, do it your way.

My bad, thought I read 996 and automatically thought Gilbarco. Long day obviously. :-)
Oh well...good for a laugh.

Those are Gilbarco doors, not Bennett.

Those don't look like my Bennett doors. The flange is even all the way around. Just buy ad glass doors.

Thank you guys...I wish I could find a decent set of ad glass doors. There's not too much around here. I was lucky to get a pump at a decent price at all.

It'd be a bit of work to do it right because it's recessed and flange'd as you can see from the images I've attached. There's about 2.5" drop between the top window and the ad glass opening, and there's a return that's beveled showing about a 1/4" lip at the sides and it increases around the center since the door has a rounded contour making the recess deeper at the middle. Looks to be about 3/4" deep at the center before putting the rubber onto the flange. I'll take some pictures once I've popped the ad glass out of mine in the next little while. Hope these images help you out.
thank you gas can...gave me a great idea even if ther aren't the right doors I sure appreciate the effort man
