Just got new lower skins from GasPumpHeaven and they look great. Installing them will be complicated by the need to punch two holes in them. One for the pump shaft and one for this dohickie.

The dohickie is directly behind the pump, extending out and would poke through the skins on the opposite side from the pump handle. It appears to be a rod that when pushed in manipulates some levers all the way up to the gate/valve that would have opened the gas flow to the hose.

Anyone familar with these? Got a picture of what kind of valve it would be hooked too? Am I wrong on it's function?

Thanks,

Lee

Anti Theft Device.
Works like the WAYNE 515 nozzle Lockup. When nozzle was locked for the night, a rod extending up inside to the Drain Valve locking it in the Closed position, so that any gasoline pumped into cylinder could NOT be released.

Thanks DB.

Do you have a picture of what the connection to the valve would have looked like?

Thanks again,

Nope. Last C.M. pump I had was before computers & digital cameras.
Works the same as on a WAYNE 515
gate valve lockup on a 515
