I've seen Mickey Mouse signs on here, but has anyone seen this sign? Haven't had much luck researching, legit or fake? https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/175966655_a-disney-and-sunoco-oil-enamel-sign

"OP: Has anyone seen this sign?" I'm surprised you asked. A quick check of eBay completed auctions shows a number of this exact sign in both "aged" and "fresh" condition. With the prevalence of reproductions of this sign, I can't imagine looking to buy one, unless a person is an expert in the various Sunoco/Disney signs originally made by Sunoco. That is, unless I was a hard core gambler! John

I never existed in porcelain or tin signs, this graphic has been only produced on a blotter in 1939

Yeah, I surprise myself sometimes too smile I noticed all the vintage, new, modern, etc signs on ebay and other stores, but always take things I see on there with a grain of salt. If it says vintage, what do they actually mean, antique, older then 20, 40, or more years, or 10? LOL That said, my brain thought, hmmm, maybe it is something that actually was made as a metal sign one time, and I am just not experienced enough to know about. So I thought I would post here for all you knowledgable folks . I can say I learned something, and who knows, maybe one of these times, I will find something that is 1 in a million to find and rare smile But then again, probably not. And yeah, I like to gamble a little but not that much! LOL

Vintage in the eyes of the person listing these signs means the paint is dry!

I collect gas pump salt and pepper shakers
and the plastic coin banks made by AVSCO.
