I'm going to have to call this months episode "Overslept Along the Way" because I'm two days late getting this showcase started.

First off, thanks to those of you that have posted photos and sent me photos to post for our first two episodes.

Second, here's what we like to see on FATW

Old Service Station that are still around.
Gas pumps or any item in the wild.
Petro Related Places that you stumble across on your journeys.
Anything Petro Related that you come across in your travels and adventures.

This is the "Petroholics Journey on the Road to Discovery".

Here are a couple of potential Coffee Shops, Antique Stores, Car Restortation Places or Movies Sets in Lompoc, California. Can anyone name the original brands of these stations???

This one is in Buellton, California along the old Highway 101.

LET'S SEE WHAT YOU FOUND

LOOKS TO BE ABANDONED AND LOOKING FOR AS NEW TENANT FOR SEVERAL YEARS!

Let's call these photos "Shades of the Past". Sent to me by Rod vanPelt (danceswithpumps)

Here's the lonely station from afar.

Upon closer inspection, some shades of the past.

Where did this Pegasus fly to? Rex????

Here's what Rod had to say about the photos, "Poorman, here are some pics of old gas stations that are along the LINCOLN highway # 30 in the town of Kimball, Nebraska. Alot of them have been torn down. Many still standing are used by self employed people to do maintenance on their vehicle and some are vacant. Please post those you feel are interesting. You can still see the outline of the peagasus Mobil Horse on one that is vacant.
Thanks for all you do for this site!
Rod van Pelt
"danceswithpumps" "

Thanks Rod for sharing the photos.
(I have more to post for Rod too).

That would likely be "Mo-bile Service" spelled the old way. Just my 2c.

Getting back to Dicks guesses on my first posts. I don't know the brands of the first two stations, but I do know the third one. Here's the now and then.

Now it's an antique store.

First it was a Hancock

Then it was a Douglas
