I picked up this nice gasket sign last night. Just wondering what year(s) this could be from? I posted the pic of the graphics, hopefully that will assist in dating it.

The lettering..especially in Gen Motors Products looks like it was repainted or something..fat and then skinny.. Are you sure it isnt homemade or hand painted or something?

"In 1937 Rochester Products was founded, planned as a second plant for Delco Appliance, but achieving Division status by 1939. In 1953 an advertisement in Life stated: "Rochester builds original equipment carburetors for Chevrolet starting with 1950, Oldsmobile from 1949 and Cadillac from 1951. Also, Rochester supplies replacement carburetors for Chevrolets from 1932."

Nice item. Early '50s I would say.

LOL..Watch for it in this weeks buys of the week. Finally got there to get it this past week. The rochester sign was in the outbuilding in the bottom area of the top right corner. Last time I was there I didn`t see it either. He must have cleared a bunch of stuff out of there and expose it. I also gave him an offer on the BA Door push..Pricey but RARE..hoping to get a call back soon saying it is mine! Only ever seen 4 of them, and he has 2 of them.
