It seems like the "Special" plates I've seen before have more writings and markings on them, but I could be wrong. Any help is appreciated.

no its real original 47 its mine what kind of marks have u been seeing on the other ones youve been seeing??

they have diff versions maybe your talking bout the one that has gasoline below the special??

It's been so long since I've seen one, but I do think the ones I've seen have had gasoline under them.

The ones with "gasoline" at the bottom are black instead of blue and were used on the west coast.
