It never ceases to amaze me what some things bring on Ebay.

Two things always come to mind when I see something sell for much more than it's worth.

#1 Two people that have more money than common sense bidding on the same item.

#2 Shill bidding

See Scott Benjamin's website at Gasglobes.com for a Skychief globe just like the one on Ebay and this one has a nice plastic body for $350. (Which is just what it is worth at fair retail price)

I love America! Land of the Free, Home of the Brave! You can bid whatever you want on item!

My 2 cents!

I can agree that it may bring it...
Stuff surprises me from time to time. Sometime i cant sell anything and sometimes i cant stop the bids from pouring in.
Hope the seller is doing the auction right and gets a good price.

Looks to be 2 people that hate to be in 2nd place to me, rapid fire bids. I would have been happy with $400 Shipping international is so easy now, you don't need to do any customs paperwork or anything. Just send it to an ebay center in Indiana and they do everything else including getting the extra postage to wherever. BUT !! I sent a USL tire sign there a couple weeks go destined for europe and they said it was slightly over sized or weight, wouldn't specify. They let me keep the money, refunded the buyer his money and then liquidated the sign somewhere. Neither of us was allowed to try to get the sign back!! How weird is that!!

OR an auction house has a finger in the Rat Hole!
Might be nice to get a major network to investigate to see where items are really going!
