Has anyone tried Evaporust on any signs or cans? Its supposed to neutralize the rust. While I have not tried it with painted items, my experience with zinc plated tools is that it dulls or eats away at the zinc plating.
I think your thinking of Prep & Etch. Prep & etch will bring back some life to a rusty sign.
Evaporust takes rust and other stuff to bare metal. It does NOT neutralize rust, as you stated…. It eliminates it to bare metal. Evaporust will probably destroy your can.
I use both products regularly.
