Thought I’d share my winter project progress on an SSE (aka Bennett) 132. I restored this several years ago but it was missing the visi. I was able to find one this year so that snowballed into some other updates….I also wanted to attach the pricier box on the stub fitting on the top of the pump but didn’t have the arms. A good friend of mine has an antique Hossfeld bending machine and that worked perfectly to fabricate a few sets of these arms using the original set as a pattern. Next step is to paint the visi. I was happy that it disassembled without a hitch and the glass is good. I’ll keep you posted..

Thanks!! It was pretty fun making the arm parts with that antique bender. It was a bit complicated figuring out the setup with the correct dies, bending speed, etc but then making a run of parts was easy. It should look better when the visi is done.

Here’s an update - it’s done! I finished restoring the Visi, fabricated the short vent tube, and installed it on the pump. Luckily having saved the original yellow paint code made matching easy. I was thrilled that Ron Scobie makes the Visi paddle tag and also the nozzle scuff plate to complete the restoration. Feels good to have it all complete!!
