Hi-

Found this in a warehouse that was marked for auction items. Can anyone I.D. for me and/or provide any info. on it as far as restoration - branding, etc.

I'm mostly a lurker here, but this site has been very helpful in the restoration of a few Bennett 966's I also have.

Thanks!

Pretty common bulk oil tank or what we sometimes call a lubester. They were made by several companies including Bennett. As far as branding for a restoration, all of the oil companies used them which makes them common and they could have had as many as ten in a servce bay. Do a search of the thread on this site and you will find many pictures of restored ones.

I just found one in my driveway a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine knows that I collect old gas stuff and dropped it off one day while I was gone. It has an RPM decal on it (did you see that Thunder?) FREE and CHEVRON!. You can pick it up next time you actually take the time to drive up the coast past Dick Bennetts house and say hello.

You can count on that Curt.....

BTW fuelboy.... Welcome to the best darn petro site on the web.... Here are a few lubester pics....

I shot both of these at Iowa Gas last year

And now, the World Famous "Powerlubester"

I got a thing for lubesters if you haven't noticed.....
