Has anyone ever seen this sign? I think it’s pretty early, maybe 20s. It’s DSP flange, 22X26”. Could only find one other MiMax Sign. Any information would be great! Thank you

Cool Mimax sign. I'm very envious. Here is a picture of my Mimax sign and a couple cans. I have assumed, but not researched, that "Mimax" "Pittsburgh Proof" "Sunproof" and "Pitcairn" were paint brands by PPG, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co., before they aquired Ditzler Color Co. of Detroit.

And I like the tire behind it, too.

Thanks for the information Jim. You have some great stuff there. Other than a couple ads from the 20s and 30s, we can't seem to find much on the sign. It does have a makers mark at the bottom, Reliance adv. co. Which according to another thread on here from a few years ago, that company existed from 1915 to 1930, so at least that helps date the sign. smile
