What's everybody's best method for removing a HEAVY layer of grease from a grease can? I've found what I think is a White Eagle grease can that I want to remove the grease without damaging the painted surface. Thanks in advance for any help. JP
I have found that grease is dissolved by oil. Grade makes no difference, excess oil left to soften the grease residue should reveal the color buried by the build up. As always gentle is the nature of the clean up.
I will give that a try. I'll pour it on and let it soak a while. Thanks. JP
I've cleaned more greasy cans than I want to remember , and I recommend a water less hand cleaner without pumice . The brand I used to use was Go Jo .
I've got some. I'll try them both. Thanks JP
