Hi all.....Each time I log onto OLDGAS or change ages, I get this pop-up.....'only secure content is displayed'..and then in blue..'what's the risk'..
then on right side..'show all content'...what is this???> thanks Warren'

that is your browser warning you that your Internet connection is not encrypted for security. You can get an encrypted secure connection by using this link:
https://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php

Notice the "s" in the "https://" That shows that the connection is secure.

But to be real, members are not posting personal financial information on Oldgas.com. We're only posting conversations about petroliana. The only risk with a non-encrypted connection is when you log in, someone could possibly observe the submission and steal your password. That is not good, but it's not critical like stealing your bank, credit card or email password.

If you are using a "https://" connection and still get a warning, that is because some part of what is displayed on that page is being delivered from a server that is not on an encrypted connection.. Most likely an image has caused the warning and there is no real risk in viewing an unencrypted picture.
