Hi there! We're restoring an old Philips66 sign (new style) -- does anyone know the pantone for the red color? Thank you!

I recommend that you clean and polish the sign. Then take it to an automotive paint dealer to have it scanned for color match.

I’d leave it original. They look better. You can always upgrade to a nicer one for the money you’re going to put into the restoration. Is it a common one? Please post a picture if you can.

Hi Emily, auto paint guys don't work off pantone color codes. Phillips likely had a number of different auto paint codes, but those were generally used on their vehicles, and would not necessarily be the same for their signs. So you pretty much have to match it. Seems like a lot of auto paint places now are hesitant to match for you, they may just hand you a bunch of paint chips and say "figure it out". Best to check it under indoor and outdoor lights, comparing the chip to the sign. If you can blending the old and new colors helps make it not so visible. Good luck!
