I have a chance to buy this sign. It is not on metal and he says it is on fiberglass or some other material. The wings have a reflective coating. Is it worth looking into? It's a bad scan

Contact Thunder he should be able to give you a pretty close estimate of it's worth.

Maybe not the value, but the dates they were used.

Size, quality, and price? Fiberglass you said? With reflective letters? By that description, it sounds like a painted panel, with stick on letters. And by the looks of the slant in the letters, it slants less, as the word "CHEVRON" goes on. Probably more evidence that its a "local manufactured" sign. That doesnt mean that it didn't hang at a CHEVRON station though.

He wants $210.00 for it. Is it worth going out and looking at?

I'm good Rick, thanks.... Its not porcelan (sp?) so keep that in mind. I like it, but I dont think that I'd pay $200.00 for it. But I'm not a sign guy either. If its not too far I'd go take a look, just to see how I felt about it. Besides, something else might show up.

Rick I would think it would be in the $125-$150 range
