The Blue Book is a booklet prepared by the Gasoline Pump Manufacturers Association. It was compiled at the request of the Office Of War Information. The first edition appeared 1941. A second edition appeared in 1947. The third in 1952. So far I am the only person who has ever found the 1952 edition. The second edition (which includes the first) is what you see for sale, copies were made by a number individuals. Incidentally, this book was prepared to show how old many of the gas pumps in use, were. It was the recommendation of the U.S. Government to scrap these old pumps for the war effort. This is what happened to all those Greek column Waynes.
I have 3 copies of the GASOLINE PUMP BLUE BOOK all 3 editions in one book. 1st edition covers pumps 1927-1941, 2nd edition pumps 1942-1947, 3rd edition pumps 1947-1952, 106 pages. *******..PM me for a copy..Warren
