This is one wild and crazy 6v ignition coil. It's an AMPRO Super Coil. Very impressive! This is a late-1940's, early-1950's hot rod equipment piece I remember being advertised in car books back in the day. Yes, I am also "vintage". This finned aluminum coil is in good condition. Impressive size, measuring 6-1/2" high by 3-1/4" in diameter.

I believe it can be run in a 12v system, with the addition of a ignition ballast resistor (still readily available at a local parts store). This coil is being sold "as-is". It was working when removed from the hopped-up BUICK straight 8 it was on, but it's has been sitting on my shelves for the last 40 years.

The price is $95, plus the shipping. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for your comment, Les. Yes, it is pretty impressive. This Super Coil wound up selling on the H.A.M.B. (hot rods) site last evening. Talk about advertising needing to target the correct and ideal audience. I had six "I'll buy it" messages in the first hour. Take care. John
