This is the picture of the spray can job. I went with red, white, and blue because we were having company for the July 4th weekend. Sorry about the top I think Dick Bennett has the original one in his tower somewhere. The top you see was on the pump when I found it. Look at the next post please, the before shot. Sorry I got the posts mixed up.

Happy Pumping Gas Pump Rob

Looks good to me Rob. you going with Dick back east ?? if so you'll come back a different guy, we'll see o-zone comeing from your ears all the time, good luck and have fun. Dick has a lot of good info in that ol head of his so ask alot of questions, but don't ask him about going under the old Sunset bulk plant building and finding out Don Davis had been under it before him an came out with a mint Sunset porcelain sign , its now for sale, its the white one not this one,

GR8 looking pump! How did you get all that old paint off so fast? What brand of paint/primer did you use? I've been real satisfied with Rustoleum but have had problems applying Sherwin William's second coat as it tends to bubble and not coat the first coat. Any ideas why? Thanks for posting the picture.

Spray cans is all I use for painting my "12 so far" pumps. It makes my lifes work with cleaning up very easy, and mess free. Plus it gives me a ton of colors "cheap" to choose from.

Like any spray paint, if you do it right, no one can tell. People stop by the house and ask me who I have paint them, when I tell them how I do my pumps they do not believe me... Seems most people just spray it on thick and quick... I wet sand and do everything the pro body shops do, just takes longer for my paint to dry. In the end, it looks as good as a pro job....
