Hello I recently bought this sign at a local auction. I knew the gentleman who owned it. Remember it hanging on his shop for many years.
I spoke with the family before I bought it, and am fairly certain it is original.
The red accent paint is almost completely gone, it is tin on a wood frame.
Just wondering the value of this sign?
Thanks, Greg

IMO - sign is legit, 2 examples below of past and present listings - these signs seem too have in common of having the red washed out

going off example one of 2 selling at 600., - 300. would be a strong value for your sign .. ... cool

Thank you Randy, your estimate is right where I paid for it.
Which brings me to the real reason for my inquiry! I have a friend who is a very talented neon artist. She has done a couple of other projects for me and likes old signs.
Would it be a terrible thing to convert the sign to neon?
I would have to drill a couple of holes in the tin. As signs go, this is not upper crust stuff, so just wondering other folks thoughts on my idea?
Thanks Greg

I think that is a crazy idea. Unless you are just a decorator, why throw more money at something that is just a decorator sign? Why not spend more money to invest/buy another nice original sign? Just my thoughts/opinion which is what you ask for. Good luck
