Hi there,

I don't know anything about petroliana. My daughter found this sign buried on a beach of the Mississippi River.

Google showed me a kind of gas jar holder/ carrier with this same company on it, and an article that mentions the Campeco Oil company in a small town in Michigan. She is looking for any information about the history of the company, the age of the sign, the value of the sign.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give ☺️
Maria

Sorry, this is on a kitchen towel not a bath towel. Dimensions are approximately 9"x12" (eyeballing it)

I'm not a great expert on value, but as it isn't extremely graphic. I would say it would hold the most interest for someone who has interest in MI history. A few hundred dollars to the right person. If it was a MN company sign, I would pay it!

And I love the story how you found it!
