Hello all. Picking up this pump and looking to see what people place on it for value. It is in working condition, and has the original hose, etc.

I like that one . I would not do a thing to it either!
Posted By: indianoilcan Re: Value of a pump - Tue May 06 2014 02:32 AM
what do you put for a value in this condition?
Posted By: Dick Bennett Re: Value of a pump - Tue May 06 2014 03:44 AM
It might have an Old Hose, but I'd Bet it ain't the Original Hose.
Hoses & Nozzle were the most changed out items before the VR's.

Asking for a Value AFTER you have bought an item is WORTHLESS & to get a true value you should post pictures of All side Outside of building or in good light.

OR clean your lens on your cell phone.

NICE Erie Barn Find!!!!
Here is a link to the pic of one that is on here. http://www.gaspumps.info/gallery/v/pumps/Clockfaces/erie753-beacon.jpg.html?g2_enterAlbum=0
I hope you have already secured your purchase because many are looking for one of those, especially in your area.
I see one Cities PPP that is possibly worth up to a couple of hundred, or more, for it and I recently heard of someone pulling a couple of these out of a grain elevator, down south of me, and they got $2500 each for the pumps. I do not know if it is true or the condition because I did not personally see them but these are highly desired and the first one I come across, I'm keeping! (I heard of the find when it happened and tried to get the pumps but I didn't have that kind of skratch at the time and they went fast so even if I had the cash I would've missed them!)
This is not me saying that it is worth that but just some recent information. That one is missing the Visi-gauge and maybe other things and the pics are hard to figure it out from.
Check around for a globe or lenses in a box somewhere close to where the pump has been. Ya never know what else might be around it.
Good luck with it!

There is no rust holes, panels are straight. It's nice.

just my opinion...

as seen in pictures $1400-$2000
put it on ebay and who knows!
put it in a good auction - maybe $2000-2500

just for reference - one just sold at a local auction a couple weeks ago that was a old homeowner restoration for I think $2400 (but it was straight, complete, & lighting intact & working I believe)

Nice survivor find there!

There is definitely enough demand to put it near the $2000 mark for many buyers with maybe a few pushing it a bit higher.

The crazing of that paint now highlighted by the grime actually makes it look like a piece of art as is, so maybe someone with more of an aesthetic eye will even go higher.

2000 tops.

Looks like a decent pump plate, couple chips, may clean up some. That alone should be at least $200 I would think? More depending on final condition.

I concur... I'd give $200 for that plate.

Yep, that plate adds value for sure.

why is he posting pictures of YOUR PUMP tokheim???
Or did you just buy it while he was procrastinating??? LOL
Posted By: Tokheim Re: Value of a pump - Mon May 12 2014 01:05 PM
Haha Tom...It was not mine when he posted the pictures so unless there is an option c that we are not aware of, option b is the logical choice...but I don't know the details of that. Win some/lose some, I do know that

Just like the guy with the blue ripple here a few months back...

If you have a great lead, don't post here looking for values.

Just a little more info for those who have asked, indianoilcan ( jesse balliet from painted post ny ) was attempting to sell me this gas pump last Friday with arrangements for me to get it Saturday morning but he cancelled late Friday eve so I never made the trip, then Saturday afternoon a friend of mine Mr Brian (tokheim) texts me a picture of his newly acquired pump and I was like what the ???? So after a little back and forth txt he thinks I'm messing with him and I think he is messing with me ( not a first !! lol). As we both quickly figured out brian got it from someone in Pennsylvania not new York and it sure as hell wasn't this "price checker" jesse guy ! Anyway after all this I'm happy brian got another one off his pump list, I'll be out this summer to kick a dent in it when things slow down a bit ! Ha
