Have you thought about Reproductions? They are much cheaper, although I don't know too much about them as I have never seen one in real life.

I listed a Mobilgas on E-bay a few months ago and the winning bidder never responded. It is very solid with a few dents. It's been sand blasted and primered. I'd like $500, but shoot me an offer.

I've heard you may have to grind off the corners of the frame to make the repro fiberglass tops fit.
