Well,I had some messages about why I haven't been on much, and there were a couple reasons. The first was the passing of our friend,Dick Bennet, which really hit me hard.To me,it just wasn't the same anymore.the I finally realized that although DB is gone, his memory will live on for a long time to come.
Then last November I decided to get off my duff, and start working on my garage, which some who have been here would tell you,it was kind of a mess. After months of insulating, wiring, drywalling and painting(I hate painting)I finally started to move things in and decorate a bit.Heres a short vid on how it turned out...still a bit of work to do,(hang signs) but it's coming along!..music used by permission from Tokheim..hope you like it.

Aw Mick-you ruined it. Just kidding it looks amazing- Im just jealous as I dont have a garage, rather just an aisle way. I was thinking again yesterday when searching through old posts what a great loss and big change to Oldgas the passing of DB caused...

Thats a garage to be proud of ,and it turned out great. I'm with you on the passing of a close friend. D B has been truly missed.

I really like the way the floor turned out! You have inspired me to do the floor in my shop, but I have a pretty full summer planned, so we'll see if it happens?
Great job on the total project--you have some time involved!

Looks Fantastic Mick! Thanks for sharing!

As A neebie here I too have noticed the difference on the oldgas comminity since DB's passing..When I do a detailed search for old posts to find answers to questions I have it's very hard to find one that DB didn't have a comment on..He is and will be missed for a long time to come! Anthony

Most all of us feel the same way about DB. I still have some old emails from him that I've gone back and read a few times since he passed.
The garage looks fantastic!!!

Well done Mick. The bike looks good too. Like the blend of older clock face and later electric gas pumps. I have got to do same to my garage. You've given me inspiration to do something similar.

Looks great Mick! I've got a good start on my display room but it's been put on the back burner for a few weeks due to spring fishing trips. All your clocks really make me want to find a few more for my collection.....GB

Ok--I gotta know this. That space looks so cool how are you gonna to be able to concentrate on your work in there (I see your desk) and how on earth are you going to park your stinky old van in there. Face it, you gotta get a new van to go with the new garage!!LOL

Nicole
p.s. Oh and the Van has to match that new bike.
