I was able to buy this pole before the highway dept. got it. Many people have tried to buy it over the years including me. They would just never let go of it, might need it some day they'd say.

At some point it had asphalt poured around the base, along with about a foot of dirt & gravel. Hammer drill with a chisel bit took care of the asphalt. A torch took care of the mounting bolts.

I was glad to save it!
