And you can Jim. Any of you guys are welcome here anytime. We'll smoke a couple of butts, throw some chicken on the grill, and fill the cast iron tub up with drinks. It is in the 70's here today and sunny.People are what this is all about...the rest is just stuff. Dave
I appreciate all the remarks. I actually modeled the building after an old country store that I discovered in Alabama. I wanted the overhang roof without support poles and I didn't need it to stick too far out in my yard ! I documented the entire building process if anyone wants any photos of anything...and I am not finished yet. lol Merry Christmas to all you petroholics ! Dave
That has to be one of my all time favorites now Dave . Congratulations on all you hard work that is such a neat little station ! Love the fry as well . So cool.
I had to comment again. It just looks great. I keep looking at the pictures. You really captured things with that open rafter roof design. Good job! Looks like a great place to hang out!
Here are some photos of the overhang. A little overkill on the construction, but it is my OCD manifesting itself. I did not want to be encumbered by support columns. Beams are balanced at midpoint, tied into the structure with hurricane straps, and braced for additional support and aesthetics. You can climb all over the overhang with no movement. lol Dave
