Been a good day! Thanks to Brian Burke for getting this Sunoco Oil Bottle Rack to me...It has the same unusual logo as a lubester sign i got last year, so i had to have it. Hope the pawn shop hangs on to my wife until i get some money together to get her back!

This looks to be a picture of your rack with the dark winged logo. I have it dated 1949 in my log. Probably was dated that way where I found it. Not the clearest picture of course, but you can see the darker wings above the rack mounted on the front.

Your the man Steve, that's it! You think it was a short lived logo because they were going from Oil Bottles and Lubester to Oil Cans? I wonder if theres a Lobster in the garage bay with one of these on it? I also wonder what else is out there with this logo? Thanks Steve!

This I found interesting. This is on ebay right now. A third version I never noticed before. It has the smaller straight wings, but not the black color.
