I'm pretty new to the hobby and live in Southern California where vintage pumps don't show up much. Maybe Gas Pump Rob has scored them all. I was pleased to find this Southwest A-190 behind a muffler shop here in town. It's my first pump with the guts (and rat's nests) intact. - Jack J.

Thanks Rob. It's all in the thrill of the hunt, the find and the score. And it's fun to bring home something new to mess with. We take what we can get. - Jack J.
Hey Rob…what’s up with that globe body? A steel banded body? That’s a new one for me. Is it a pump body or for something else, do you know?

Yes it is a thrilling experience to hunt stuff down!!
Hello Petro Pumps,
Scott Anderson and John Jarvis told me it is a very early example of a metal body globe. First one seen except in old photos. I got lucky finding this 1917 Wayne pump with the globe near Los Angeles CA . They told me it originally had a painted on
Logo most likely . The lenses are very unique in design with an outer glass lip the the clamps hold on to. Very interesting piece.
